TCSC and Eileen Hanrahan are planning the spring Adopt-A-Highway clean up for June 7, if conditions allow by then. The rain date is June 14.
The group meets at 7:45 a.m. at Winans Ave., and Vestal Road in Vestal, NY. Park on Winans Ave. At 8 a.m. we head out in groups of 2-3 to clean up our section of Route 17 until 9:30 a.m. Afterward, the club will treat everyone to breakfast at a local restaurant.
Directions: From Rt 17 Eastbound, take Exit #68 for Old Vestal Road. At the end of the ramp, turn right on Pearl Street, turn right on Old Vestal Road, pass Fourth Avenue and turn right on Winans Avenue. (On the drive here, you'll go under Rt 17 and pass the entrance ramp to Rt 17 which will be on your left. This is where we'll start our clean-up.)
This clean up is dependent on whether groups may gather by then and that restaurants will be open.

Accommodations Rooms with toilet, sink and shower, single spring beds or bunk beds with wool blanket and pillow. Two rooms share bathrooms off the hall. You'll need to bring towels, a sleeping bag or sheets and probably your own pillow. There are 13 single or lower bunks and 6 upper bunks. Four rooms have 3 beds, 1 room has 5 beds and 1 room has 2 beds. Maximum capacity in the lodge is 19, depending on privacy wishes.
The lodge's common areas are spacious and comfortable. All of the rooms, including bedrooms, in the Main Lodge are heated. WiFi is available on the property, but cell service is spotty. AT&T seems to work well. This is an opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature and friends.
Cost $70 per person for two nights and $90 for three nights. Does not include meals, but there are complete kitchen facilities for us to prepare meals. Bring your own breakfasts, plan your own lunches and we'll have potluck dinners for Saturday and Sunday nights. Bring your own choice of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Plan your own dinner if you're coming up Friday or we can go out as a group.
RSVP Check back on how to register. A $30 deposit holds your spot.
