The spring Adopt-A-Highway clean up is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, with a rain date on Sunday, May 22. More participants means we get done faster!
The group will meet at 7:45 a.m. at Winans Ave., and Vestal Road in Vestal, NY. Park on Winans Ave. At 8 a.m. we will head out in socially distanced groups of 2-3 to clean up our section of Route 17 until 9:30 a.m.
Breakfast: Somewhere - TBD
Directions: From Rt 17 Eastbound, take Exit #68 for Old Vestal Road. At the end of the ramp, turn right on Pearl Street, turn right on Old Vestal Road, pass Fourth Avenue and turn right on Winans Avenue.
Please wear sturdy work shoes or hiking boots and your own heavy-duty work gloves if you wish. Dress according to the weather. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. We will have work bags and safety vests as well as work gloves to borrow.
It's a fun group activity and great exercise while keeping our community clean and beautiful. We hope you can join us. The more people we have, the sooner we get done!
