Evening Paddle on Whitney Point Lake at Dorchester Park
Enjoy an evening on the lake with TCSC friends, Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Paddle, sail, or just come and hang out. Dorchester Park website.
Meet at the waterfront between 5:30-6 p.m. Be on the water until 7-7:30 p.m.
Use your own kayak, paddle board or rent a kayak or paddle boat. See rental info below.
Provide own water and other beverages and snacks, hat, sunglasses, a chair to enjoy the sunset afterwards. The park closes at dusk. We can go for ice cream afterwards. Also, the Broome County Fair opens on Tuesday at the fairgrounds in Whitney Point. Admission on opening day is free. It's usually a nice time to go.
NOTES: (1) This activity is weather dependent. Check the forecast and your email to make sure the event will take place before heading out. (2) There has been a report of a possible algae bloom and the beachfront is currently closed. This does not affect the waterfront, but you may want to check the park's website at the link above.
